Part 1
Hear me all you ones of Heimdall
Sons and daughters and in between
Odin bids me heed his call
To tell the folk what I have seen
The giants raised me, fed me bread
Left with Nine Maids of the sea
I saw nine worlds, alive and dead
And Yggdrasil, the world tree
No sand nor sea nor cooling waves
In the days before Ymir's kin
No earth nor sky nor eagles gaze
To see Ginnungagap begin
Odin and his brothers schemed
To build a world shaped by their hands
The sun shone bright, the grass was green
Midgard was a fertile land
The sun did not know when to shine
Traveled on horse back, east to west
The stars did not know when to shine
The moon did not know when to rest
The Holy Gods in council met
To name the morning, noon, and night
The Holy Gods would not forget
The passing of times constant flight
The Aesir met at Idavoll
Building homes, the rooftops gleamed
In sight of Hars Gold Hall
They raised the tools to forge their dreams
Would You Know More?
The gods arose and took their thrones
In judgment good and no reserves
Of rotting flesh and Ymir's bones
They gave life to the lord of dwarves
Motsognir they made, a Dwarven leader
Then made mighty Durin
They made many man like creatures
And all of them were named by Durin
Nýi, Niði, Norðri, Suðri,
Austri, Vestri, Alþjófr, Dvalinn,
Nár, Náinn, Nípingr, Dáinn
Bívurr, Bávurr, Bömburr, Nóri,
Ánn, Ánarr, Óinn, Mjöðvitnir.
Veggr, Gandálfr, Vindálfr, Þorinn,
Þrár, Þráinn, Þekkr, Litr, Vitr,
Nýr, Nýráðr, Reginn, Ráðsviðr
So did Durin name the dwarves
Would You Know More?
Fíli, Kíli, Fundinn, Náli,
Hefti, Víli, Hannar, Svíurr,
Billingr, Brúni, Bíldr, Buri,
Frár, Hornbori, Frægr, Lóni,
Aurvangr, Jari, Eikinskjaldi.
Thus the dwarves, Dvalins brethren
As told by men, descended from Lofar
Born in Rock and through the wet lands
Sought a home out in the sand
Draupnir, Dolgþrasir,
Hár, Haugspori , Hlévangr, Glói,
Dóri, Óri Dúfr, Andvari
Skirvir, Virfir, Skáfiðr, Ái.
Álfr, Yngvi, Eikinskjaldi,
Fjalarr, Frosti, Finnr, Ginnarr;
Their names are remembered, their memory lives on
When names are remembered they never are gone

Part 2
Leaving Asgard three Gods journeyed
To Midgards shores, their grace to show
Ash and Elm, drift wood trees
Unbound by fate, their worth was low
No breath no soul nor spirit found
In washed up tree trunks by the sea
Odin gave breath, Heimdall gave soul
Beards and faces, gift of Loki
Would You Know More?
I know an ash tree, Yggdrasil
Tall and mighty, known as great
Forever green as dew drops spill
Forever shading the well of fate
Three wise women weave their web there
Urd, Verdandi, third is Skuld
They weave all fates inside their lair
Of all the young and all the old
Would You Know More?
War came first into the world
Gullveig speared and burned alive
In Odins Hall three times she died
But back to life each time she would rise
Heith she was named, the unwelcome guest
Dark was her magic, her witchcraft sure
She poisoned minds, left them unblessed
Of all things good, she was evil pure
Cattle Die, Kinsmen Die
I know one thing never dies
To their thrones in Council sat the Gods
Holy powers wielding words
To give tribute or to endure
These sacrifices so impure
Mighty Odin cast his spear
Thus was war unleashed on all
The Vanir rose and showed no fear
To tear down Asgards walls
To their thrones to pass their judgment
Holy powers wielding words
To find the source of strife and lies
Lest Odins wife become an etin bride
Thor alone rose up to fight
His hammer strong, would not allow
Let no oath sworn be set alight
In flames of deceit and broken vow

Part 3
Would You Know More?
I know that Heimdall hides his hearing
In the roots of Yggdrasil it waits
By Odins eye in Mimirs waters
The Gjallarhorn will sound its fate
Why do you seek me, Odin?
I was alone till you came to me
I know where your eye is, Odin
Stare into my eye, and learn what you need
In Mimir's well hides the eye of Odin
There does Mimir drink mead evermore
Your eye was a sacrifice, for Odin
Tell me Allfather, would you know more?
Gold am I given, gifts from All father
The price he pays for what my eyes see
I have told the past, I see the future
So I have seen, so shall it be
The Valkyries ride to the Aesirs hearth
Skuld bore her shield, Skogal also had one
Hild, Gondul, Geirskogal and Gunn
Assembled and ready to ride o'er the earth
I can see Baldur, beautiful and wise
Odin's son, his fate is woe
And growing strong beneath Midgards skies
Small and fair, the mistletoe
The gentle plant bore a deadly dart
Hodr was tricked to cast the death blow
Baldurs brother was born of broken hearts
To seek vengeance when he was one day old
Still covered in blood, his hair was unwashed
He bore poor Hodr to the funeral pyre
Frigg wept in Fensalir, all hope was lost
Odin, have you learned what you desire?
Lastly see Loki, bound by his sons death
A gift for a gift, paid in full kind
Sigyn the faithful, tears fall on her breast
She keeps her oath for all time

Taking Up the Runes

Taking up the Runes
I know I hung on the tree
For nine long nights of pain
Pierced by my spear, sacrificed to myself
Myself to myself and the runes to gain
I ate no food, I drank no drink
For nine long days in the wind
At the end I screamed and then I fell
I took up the runes, and thus it begins

Hymn to Heimdall

Hymn to Heimdall
Heimdall hear me, Heimdall see me, Heimdall keep my loves heart beating
You were born in ancient times
Son of Nine Waves, the Shining One
With strength Of earth and strength Of sea
In boars blood strong, your fate was spun
Heimdall hear me, Heimdall see me, Heimdall keep my loves heart beating
Guardian of the Rainbow Bridge
Teacher of runes to all mankind
Champion of the goddess Freya
No sword as sharp as Heimdalls mind
Heimdall hear me, Heimdall see me, Heimdall keep my loves heart beating
You hear all the grasses growing
Tell me, can you hear my prayer?
Let my lover keep on breathing
We all know fate isn’t fair
You see all the deeds of mankind
Tell me, do you see me weep?
Her time has come, Hels at the door
She has brought her broom to sweep
You see all and you hear all
Tell me do you feel my grief?
I held her hand till it went cold
There was no relief
Heimdall hear me, Heimdall see me, Heimdall keep my loves heart beating
One was born greater than others
The earth gave him strength to grow
One will come who's even greater
What his name is, no one knows
Heimdall hear me, Heimdall see me, Heimdall keep my loves heart beating
You hear all the grasses growing
Tell me, can you hear my prayer?
Let my lover keep on breathing
We all know fate isn’t fair
You see all the deeds of mankind
Tell me, do you see me weep?
Her time has come, Hels at the door
She has brought her broom to sweep
I can not see to the future
Past when Odin meets the wolf
I still stand by your side Heimdall
Every day to prove my worth

Part 4 Ragnarok
A river of swords, a river of knives
In the east the river Slith
In the north the beer hall of Brimir
And the golden halls of Sindri's kith
I see a Hall in darkness bound
Nastronds shores far in the north
The roof drips venom to the ground
Serpents wind their way forth
Oathbreakers wade through turbulent waters
Murderers and rapists too
Nidhogg gnaws their bones, Allfather
Tell me, what more can I tell you?
In the east a giant waits
In Ironwood Fenrirs children bide
Among these monsters one
Who would eat the sun from out the sky
The honorless pledge their troth to the wolf
The halls of the Gods run red with gore
The sun turns black, the climate changes
Tell me Allfather, Would you know more?
Crows the rooster Gollinkambi
To wake the warriors in Odins Hall
Below the earth another sings
The blood red rooster in Hella's hall
Fenrir roars and breaks his bonds
The wolf runs free to start the fray
I know how it ends, I've seen it
For all the Gods their darkest day
Brother will kill brother
Siblings fight with one another
Into the axe age
Into the sword age
Into the wind age
Into the wolf age
The world sinks Into the sea
And none shall be saved
The web of fate is set on fire
Heimdall blows the Gjallarhorn
Odin seek out Mimirs head
As the threads of fate are torn
Yggdrasil stands but she trembles
Fenrir shakes his chains to breaking
Surts kin gather to assemble
The road to Hel is shaking
Fenrir howls at the Gates of Hel
The wolf escapes and is hungry to slay
I know how it ends, I've seen it
For all the Gods their darkest day
Brother will kill brother
Siblings fight with one another
Into the axe age
Into the sword age
Into the wind age
Into the wolf age
The world sinks Into the sea
And none shall be saved
Hrym from the east, hoist high his shield
The serpent of Midgard rises in rage
Screams of the eagle as all is revealed
The ship of the dead takes to the waves
The ship sails westward, Loki the captain
The people of Muspellheim crewing the oars
The giants are coming, with Loki beside them
Tell me Allfather, Would you know more?
What say the Aesir? What say the Elves?
The Dwarves howl in their mountain stronghold
Jotunheim roars while the Gods are in council
Tell me Allfather would you know more?
Surt comes from the south, fire in his sword
The power of the sun shining in his hand
The mountains will crumble, troll brides will mourn
The road to Hel heavy as the sky cleaves the land
Hlins second sorrow is when Odin fights Fenrir
Freyr fights with Surt, stag Horns in his hand
Odin will fall, with glory in battle
Frigga will weep bitter tears for her husband
Seek vengeance Vidar, proud son of Odin
Sword drawn and ready, true is his aim
Stab to the heart, slaying the wolf
The Allfather avenged, Fenrir is slain
Earth's son, Odin's son, rise mighty Thor
Heave high your hammer to be the Serpents Bane
Backwards take nine steps, covered in venom
The protector of mankind will not rise again
The sun turns black, light will fade
The earth will sink beneath the sea
Flames rise up on Yggdrasil
In fire the end of the world tree
Fenrir roars and breaks his bonds
The wolf runs free to start the fray
I know how it ends, I've seen it
For all the Gods their darkest day
Brother will kill brother
Siblings fight with one another
Into the axe age
Into the sword age
Into the wind age
Into the wolf age
The world sinks Into the sea

Voluspa part 5
I see the earth rise from the ocean
Born anew the trees all evergreen
Waterfalls flow, the fish will swim
Eagles hunt over mountain peaks
The Aesir meet at Idavoll
Amid the bones of the fallen serpent
They recall the deeds of Ragnarok
And Odins lessons well learnt
The harvest comes without lifted hand
No illness stalks across the land
Baldur and Hodr live in Odins Hall
Does this please you, father of all?
The shining one will take up the runes
And cast them just like Heimdall
Two sons of Odin fare forth to the world
Does this please you Father of All?
Most beautiful, a Hall of gold
A home of glory for the brave
There they wait for the mightiest of lords
And live in comfort all their days
Down from dark mountains
The dragon comes flying
With death in his claws
I will say no more

Outro “Cattle Die…”
Praise not the day till it is done
Till all the stories have been sung
Pour the mead and raise a toast
May all the Aesir hear your boast
Praise not the sword till it is tried
In all your battles by your side
Praise not the maid till she is wed
Remember her name when she’s dead
Cattle Die Kinsmen Die
I know one thing never dies
Cattle Die Kinsmen Die
I know one thing never dies
Raise a horn to all the fallen, the new dead and those long gone
Raise a horn to all our kinfolk, who won't be there to greet the dawn
Their names are remembered, their memory lives on
When names are remembered they never are gone
You cannot praise life till it is over
Be they friend or be they lover
You cannot change the course of fate
For the small or for the great
If all the world could weep one tear
Then Frigga could hold her son near
But Odin cannot change a course so deep
Nor can I, yet still I weep
Cattle Die Kinsmen Die
I know one thing never dies
Cattle Die Kinsmen Die
I know one thing never dies
Raise a horn to all the fallen, the new dead and those long gone
Raise a horn to all our kinfolk, who won't be there to greet the dawn
Their names are remembered, their memory lives on
When names are remembered they never are gone
The Allfather works, the Elves understand
The Vanir know, the Norns all fate ensure
Ividja gives birth, the Thurses wait
The Valkyries yearn, but we will endure
