Part 4 Ragnarok

A river of swords, a river of knives
In the east the river Slith
In the north the beer hall of Brimir
And the golden halls of Sindri's kith

I see a Hall in darkness bound
Nastronds shores far in the north
The roof drips venom to the ground
Serpents wind their way forth

Oathbreakers wade through turbulent waters
Murderers and rapists too
Nidhogg gnaws their bones, Allfather
Tell me, what more can I tell you?

In the east a giant waits
In Ironwood Fenrirs children bide
Among these monsters one
Who would eat the sun from out the sky

The honorless pledge their troth to the wolf
The halls of the Gods run red with gore
The sun turns black, the climate changes
Tell me Allfather, Would you know more?

Crows the rooster Gollinkambi
To wake the warriors in Odins Hall
Below the earth another sings
The blood red rooster in Hella's hall

Fenrir roars and breaks his bonds
The wolf runs free to start the fray
I know how it ends, I've seen it
For all the Gods their darkest day

Brother will kill brother
Siblings fight with one another
Into the axe age
Into the sword age
Into the wind age
Into the wolf age
The world sinks Into the sea
And none shall be saved

The web of fate is set on fire
Heimdall blows the Gjallarhorn
Odin seek out Mimirs head
As the threads of fate are torn

Yggdrasil stands but she trembles
Fenrir shakes his chains to breaking
Surts kin gather to assemble
The road to Hel is shaking

Fenrir howls at the Gates of Hel
The wolf escapes and is hungry to slay
I know how it ends, I've seen it
For all the Gods their darkest day

Hrym from the east, hoist high his shield
The serpent of Midgard rises in rage
Screams of the eagle as all is revealed
The ship of the dead takes to the waves

The ship sails westward, Loki the captain
The people of Muspellheim crewing the oars
The giants are coming, with Loki beside them
Tell me Allfather, Would you know more?

What say the Aesir? What say the Elves?
The Dwarves howl in their mountain stronghold
Jotunheim roars while the Gods are in council
Tell me Allfather would you know more?

Surt comes from the south, fire in his sword
The power of the sun shining in his hand
The mountains will crumble, troll brides will mourn
The road to Hel heavy as the sky cleaves the land

Hlins second sorrow is when Odin fights Fenrir
Freyr fights with Surt, stag Horns in his hand
Odin will fall, with glory in battle
Frigga will weep bitter tears for her husband

Seek vengeance Vidar, proud son of Odin
Sword drawn and ready, true is his aim
Stab to the heart, slaying the wolf
The Allfather avenged, Fenrir is slain

Earth's son, Odin's son, rise mighty Thor
Heave high your hammer to be the Serpents Bane
Backwards take nine steps, covered in venom
The protector of mankind will not rise again

The sun turns black, light will fade
The earth will sink beneath the sea
Flames rise up on Yggdrasil
In fire the end of the world tree
